Among a number of shrines, monasteries and other pilgrimage in the state of Himachal Pradesh, the significance and importance of Chamunda Devi Temple Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh cannot be ignored. Norbulingka Institute was established in 1988 for saving Tibetan culture, writing and craftsmanship. It was set up by Dalai Lama and is named after Norbulingka.

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association [HPCA] Stadium in Dharamsala, with a capacity of 23,000, is as picturesque as the Adelaide Oval and Newlands, if not more. A small and glittering green plate, the ground has a snow-capped background in the form of the Dauladhar hill-range. The mountains add to the serenity of the venue, which lies at an altitude of 1317 metres above sea level.

During monsoon the Bhagsu Waterfall turns into a 30-foot cascade. It is a good spot for picnics and recreation. Bhagsu is a serene located very close by to the Mcleodganj city center. It has been the main attraction for all tourists who visit the cool hearty tourist location of Mcleodganj. It has breathtaking waterfall known as Bhagsu falls, mind calming ancient Bhagsunath Temple and a perfectly nature blended community pool.

Quaint and clam, Dal lake is filled with greenish water. The lake is shielded by the rugged mountains and luscious forest of deodar trees. On the bank of the Dal lake, tourists can see the famous Shiva temple.Dal lake is mostly visited by tourist during the month of September as a fair is organized on the bank of the lake which is attended by the people of the Gaddi tribe in a large number. The fair is celebrated to mark the presence of Lord Shiva. Dal lake is a perfect site to laze around with picnic baskets as one can enjoy boating and many other activities.
